- Water twice daily for the first two weeks, then daily after that.
- Once you see that the grass is setting well, onge can water once a week or according to seasonal changes.
- When you water, make sure that the underside of the turf and the first 50mm of top soil is damp.
- Avoid over watering of lawn grass as this encourages development of lawn diseases.
- Don’t water late in the evening because the grass stays wet overnight, as this can lead to diseases.
- You can give your lawn grass its first cut after two weeks.
- If your lawn grass has over-grown don’t mow more than 1/3 of the leaf length as this will put your grass under stress.
- Mow kikuyu grass after reaching a height of about 25mm — 30mm.
- You can now mow all season’s evergreen after reaching a height of about 30mm — 35mm.
Measurements of lawn grass we sell:
One (1) block/roll/strip of lawn grass is 80cm x 50cm.
Three (3) blocks/rolls/strips make one (1) square metre.
Sometimes on rare circumstances beyond our control customers can get strips/blocks/rolls of lawn grass which are 40cm x 60cm.
If a roll/block/strip is 40cm x 60cm then in that case four (4) of or strips/blocks/rolls will make one (1) square metre.
